Wealden add more routing accessory products to range

Wealden Tools have added several new items to their range of routing accessories.

Now in stock is a router centring cone, or alignment cone, which is very useful for aligning guide bushes and for checking the concentricity of a router base with the motor spindle.  The cone is available to buy on line from Wealden.
Also now in stock is Trend's N-Compass Circle Jig, which will rout circles from 25mm to 200mm diameter, with optional extension rods which allow an increase of 560mm. It features a quick-fit quick-release system with an alternative pin position, depending on desired circle size.  For further information or to buy online, click here.

Another addition to the stock range is a self-centering base router mortise base that allows a quick and easy mortise to be routed centrally on the component. Roller guides follow workpiece edges with the mortise width set by the cutter diameter. For further information or to buy online, click here.

Special Offer on Wealden's Raise-A-Panel Cutters

A common requirement is the production of mock panelling on solid timber or MDF panels for furniture manufacture, an operation usually carried out using a template with a top bearing-guided Classic Ogee cutter. Although effective, this does not resemble a true raised panel.

Wealden's unique system uses two cutters which, with two passes using the same template, will produce an effect that more closely echoes a traditional raised panel.  Designed by and unique to Wealden, two sizes are available, producing either a 30mm or 40mm wide moulding with a moulded groove of 10-12mm.

Until the end of February 2010 the cutters are available at a special 15% discount. Click here to go the website for full details.
